Bashar Okka, MD
Internal Medicine and Hospitalist
With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Okka is an expert in Internal Medicine care. Originally from Syria, he has made his home here in Oakland County, with his wife and 3 children. He has a passion for providing quality care with an interest in cardiovascular disease and caring for patients as a Hospitalist. He is co-owner of Mercy Hospitalists and owner of Hospitalist Services of Michigan, as well as Independence Urgent Care and Clarkston Internal Medicine.
Chirine Elmokdad, MD
Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine
As our newest physician to join
Clarkston Internal Medicine,
Dr. Elmokdad brings her expertise to the group as an Internist, Hospitalist, and Bariatrician. She completed her undergraduate education at Wayne State University and medical school at Ross School of Medicine, furthering her education in Obesity Medicine with Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency at Trinity Health Hospital in 2021. She lives here with her husband and 2 children.
Nathan Chase, MD
Internal Medicine and
Hospice and Palliative Care
Dr. Chase has been a physician with Clarkston Internal Medicine since the practice started in 2000. He continues to see his established patients on a limited schedule as he is moving his focus to Hospice and Palliative Care as the Medical Director for Trinity Hospice. Dr. Chase lives in the Clarkston community with his wife and enjoys spending as much time as he can with his adult children and many grandchildren.
Megan Clemence, NP
Internal Medicine
Since 2019, Megan Clemence, NP has been providing excellent care to her patients, working along-side Dr. Okka. As she has learned from his expertise, she has found a passion in preventative care medicine. As an Advance Practice Provider (APP) Megan is excellent in diagnosing, treating, and managing cases as an Internist. Megan grew up in Michigan and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Oakland University. She lives in the community with her dog, Griffin.
Emily Aranyos, PA

Emily Aranyos, PA-C completed her undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University and went on to complete her Masters degree at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN in 2016. She has experience in Emergency Medicine (McLaren, Port Huron), Gynecologic Oncology, and Surgical Oncology. She has over 8 years of experience as a Physician Assistant. She is a member of MAPA and AAPA. She lives here in the community with her husband, daughter, and dog, Chip. We are thrilled to have her as a part of our Care Team.
Andrea Krane, NP
Internal Medicine
Andrea Krane, N.P.-C joined our urgent care and internal medicine office in 2023. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Oakland University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University. Her past experience includes Family Medicine, Breast Surgical Care with Corewell Health, and urgent care medicine. She also helps the next generation of Nurse Practitioners as a preceptor. She lives with her husband and enjoys outdoor activities in her free time.

Referral Request
The patient is responsible for knowing if their insurance requires a referral. To request an referral, please leave a message on the referral voicemail. For urgent or emergent referrals, please contact receptionist for referral confirmation.

No Show
- Appointments are scheduled time reserved for you, when a No Show happens it hinders our ability to get another patient in with their provider. For this, we have accessed a No Show Fee, as follows:

Our service is focused on excellence, quality patient care, and patient satisfaction. Service offerings are customized to meet your specific needs. Services we provide
- Comprehensive hospital care for patients
- Medical consultations for general surgical patients
- Medical consultations for cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, neurosurgical and behavioral medicine patients.
- Preoperative evaluations

- Hospital coverage on weekends, vacations and other scheduled times as requested
Area of focus
- Active presence in the hospital
- Active communications from point of admission, to time of discharge, including critical milestones
- Quality patient care provided as if the patient were our own
- Specialty consultations as requested in accordance with PCP preference
- Services end at point of discharge and all patients are instructed to follow-up with their PCP. There is no attempt to provide outpatient care beyond point of discharge

Andrea earned her Masters from Michigan State University. She has over 4 years of experience in Family Medicine as a Nurse Practitioner. We are very please to have her join our team serving the community.
